Get Ready for the Switch to Digital Television (DTV) posted by Graham Honaker
   
 

By law, television stations nationwide must end their analog broadcast and begin broadcasting exclusively in a digital format after February 17, 2009. Digital television, or DTV, is an innovative technology that delivers crystal clear pictures and sound, more channels and even free over-the-air high-definition television (HDTV) to consumers with HD television sets.

 




Budget Hearings Set for June posted by Graham Honaker
   
 

The Metro Council will be reviewing the Metro Parks Budget between June 4 and June 25. The Metro Council will also host two hearings in which the public is invited to participate by signing up to speak for up to 3 minutes. The two hearings will be held on Wednesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 18. Speakers for each hearing are encouraged to contact the office of the Metro Council Clerk at 574-1230 and may request to be added as a speaker.
